a post with basic duties and guidance from a senior colleague

B

a post with basic duties not needing guidance

C

a post which directs the work of others or provides a specialist service

D

a post with management responsibility for an area of work, including forward planning and development, or providing a specialist service with comparable responsibility

E

a post carrying responsibility for managing a department or equivalent, with greater responsibility for forward planning and development or an equivalent specialist service

F

a post with overall responsibility for a health authority pharmaceutical service, a very large department or providing a high level of professional expertise

G

a post equivalent to responsibility for a very large service to one or more health authorities or requiring exceptional expertise

H

a post of exceptional responsibility or demanding very exceptional expertise
