Explanation of incremental points

Each year your salary increments by one point, until you reach the top of your grade.
Eg when starting as 'grade C' you would be paid £24,496.
After one year this would increase to £25,666.
After 5 years it would be £30,344 and would not go higher, unless you have a 'discretionary point' (plus signs indicate discretionary points) in which case your salary would continue to increase annually until £30,637.
